An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading Tier 1 construction contractor, supporting the delivery of major construction projects across Central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected contractor offering long-term career progression, major project exposure and the opportunity to develop within an established HSE team.

THE ROLE

Working alongside the Health & Safety Manager and wider project team, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of health, safety and wellbeing across site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out regular site inspections and H&S audits

• Supporting the implementation of project Health & Safety procedures

• Reviewing RAMS and safe systems of work

• Monitoring subcontractor compliance and site activities

• Identifying hazards and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented

• Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings

• Supporting accident, incident and near-miss investigations

• Assisting with H&S reports, statistics and documentation

• Monitoring high-risk construction activities

• Supporting compliance with CDM Regulations 2015

• Working closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors

• Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture across the project

• Providing practical H&S advice and guidance to site teams

• Supporting continuous improvement and best practice across the project

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety professional with experience working within the construction industry.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor or SHE Advisor

• Construction or major-project experience

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent

• Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation

• Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence working with site teams and subcontractors

• A practical and proactive approach to Health & Safety

• TechIOSH membership or progression towards IOSH membership would be advantageous

Experience working for a Tier 1 or major main contractor would be beneficial but is not essential.
