We are currently looking for an Electrical Supervisor for our client who are a leading name in the deliver of Data Centre Projects.
Our client is based in London and delivers Data Centre and CAT A & B Office Fit Outs for Commercial, Industrial and Financial Clients.
Our client have asked us to source them an Electrical Supervisor predominantly for a Data Centre in Hemel Hempstead but may also required at times to assist on projects in Slough and Essex.
Requirements to be an Approved GML Electrical Supervisor at GML
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification.
- 18th Edition Certificate.
- AM2S Certificate.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- A UK Driving Licence.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An in-date ECS card.
- Testing and Inspection 2391 Certificate.
General roles and responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in planning projects, schedules and budgets.
- Support the Project Manager in writing RAMS for jobs.
- Allocate resources and manpower.
- Develop and learn how to write programmes.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior staff.
- Complete performance review forms for Apprentices.
- Manage and track materials including ordering, overseeing the delivery and ensuring they are used efficiently.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
- Mediate conflicts within the team and ensure a harmonious work environment.
- Escalate any necessary issues to the relevant Project Manager.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of operatives, including sub-contractors.
- Raise and/or issue permits when required.
- Complete an electrical site safety report before work commences.
- Champion safe working practices, ensuring electrical safety rules are followed by electricians.
- Ensure NICEIC certificates are fully completed and issued for sign-off.
- Day to day reporting to the relevant Project Manager.
- Inspecting and assessing work throughout the job and on completion of.
- Ensure the project deadlines are met.
- Diagnose and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
- Collaborate with the team to find solutions to technical challenges.
- Visit sites to measure up and order materials.
- Hold toolbox talks.
