Responsibilities –
- Manage and aiding the development of the junior mech engineering team,
- Manging all aspect of the mechanical package of works from concept to completion,
- Input into delivery and commissioning programmes,
Requirements and skills –
- Computer literate (Microsoft excel/word etc)
- Carry a form of mechanical training (city and guilds/apprenticeship/degree etc)
- Has an understanding of all mechanical systems, which would include but not be limited to – ventilation, water systems (LTHW/CHW etc), Drainage, BMS etc etc
Advantageous/Beneficial items –
- Experience with renewables.
- Experience of energy centres
- Has worked in mech project engineer role for 5yrs,
- Worked within the Tier 1 MEP sector previously,
- Perform a full lifecycle construction project (design, develop, procure, construct, commission and Handover)
- Design systems that meet with client requirements and specifications.
- Review Specialist Contractors Designs
- Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
- Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety
- Manage budget and scope of project
- Prepare product reports and documentation
- Manage and build internal and external client relationships.
Requirements and skills
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design.
- Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools
- Mathematical computing and tools knowledge (Microsoft)
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanical Engineering, Public Health, BMS Systems.
- Creativity and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Technical writing skills
